DENTON (2/9/06) - The North Texas men's basketball team will play its final Sun Belt Conference home game of the season on Thursday, hosting Middle Tennessee at 7 p.m.in what is also the first of the Mean Green’s final two games against an East Division opponent during the regular season. Every North Texas game can be heard live on KWRD (100.7 FM) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Thursday’s game will be just the sixth meeting ever between North Texas and Middle Tennessee. The two teams met for the first time in the 2000-01 season, the Mean Green’s first year in the Sun Belt Conference. Middle Tennessee currently leads the series 3-2, but is 0-2 against the Mean Green at the Super Pit. The Blue Raiders won last year’s meeting 70-64 in Murfreesboro, while the Mean Green won 69-64 the previous year in Denton.

Senior guard Isaac Hines and junior guard Lionel Brown are ranked fi rst and fourth, respectively, in the Sun Belt in three-point fi eld goal percentage. Hines is connecting on 48 percent of his attempts (30-of-62) and Brown has made 44 percent of his attempts (35-of-80). Kendrick Davis, who made a career-high six three-point fi eld goals against Troy on January 26 (ties the 10th most by a player in school history), is ranked 11th in the Sun Belt in three-point field goals made (2.1 per game).
