Another new hat addition. This one is a little over the top for me.

I'm STILL waiting for a nice fitted franchise fit hat in the new kelly green with the son of worm logo on it. The bookstore has them with the new font logos (some with the battle flag on the back) but nothing with the new eagle on the front. I hope we get one eventually.

FFR, no offense, but the green on that hat is the "toothpaste green," so aptly described on this board. That is not kelly...it is closer to turquoise.

the "Son of Worm" on the front and "North Texas" on the back.

It's a great looking hat. Very clean look.

True, I know it looks that way on a computer screen. But I'm just assuming that it is the correct Kelly Green in person, which I have not seen yet. If it doesn't look correct I won't buy it for sure. Our hat, which had a combo of the Hunter and Kelley in the NT Battle Flag, DID show up very well against the black background.

Not exactly branding related, but I didn't want to start a completely new thread. MTV's lame show Room Raiders (Texas) came to Denton on their last episode. I knew it from the moment I saw those crazy looking new apartments (Sterling...maybe) slightly north of campus on 35. SURE ENOUGH...one of the guy contestants was wearing one of my all time favorite shirts...the solid grey t-shirt with the simple arched "MEAN GREEN" across the front. Good exposure.

He did have a huge OU blanket on his bed though...ah well.

I saw one of those episodes from Texas. You can really see how people will back other schools then their own on there. In the episode I saw, the guy was looking through the girls closet and found item after item of UT gear. He made the comment that he liked the idea of going out with a girl that went to UT. The girl - watching the whole thing on camera - shouted back at her monitor, "Hey, I go to Texas State!!...........REPRESENT!!"

I also saw that (not proud of it, but its a guilty pleasure) and laughed. You think its bad at NT with people wearing other schools colors, try walking around Tx State campus. The UT envy/wannabee is much more prevelant than anywhere else. Too bad, I kinda like TSUSM's new colors and logo
