Nice to see that SMU has a losing record and we are far from it. Hope we can add to their losses next year. Also, we have played more games than TT and UofH. Contrary to some people's popular opionion, we HAVE been around for awhile.

If you can buy players and buy the media, why can't you buy your way onto list at a nice position on the list?

SMU at #43....wow.......nobody would ever think of them as that high for best program ever....

The oldtimers would. Remember this is an all-time list. SMU had a national championship back in 1935. In the Doak Walker era in the late forties, SMU was a Top 10 football school. They had highs and lows from then until the mid-80s when they had some great teams (albeit paid) in the Dickerson-James era. But since the death penalty in 87-88 they have been bad to horrible.

We've had something like three Top 25 finishes; they've had 20 or more. Of course, we only became the equivalent of Division 1-A in 1953, with a 12 year hiatus. They've been at it since it existed.
