FORT WORTH, Texas -- "Friday Night Lights" was a hit on the big screen, and now producers are turning the movie about Texas high school football into a TV series.

The NBC series will begin filming next month.

Casting for the pilot will take place in Austin this Tuesday and Wednesday at Austin Studios.

Experienced football players, ages 18 to 27, are being called to the audition.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 24, and Wednesday, Jan. 25

Players with college eligibility and actors without field experience need not apply.

Actor-athletes selected will be asked to commit to up to six weeks for filming immediately.
