DENTON – Sophomore guard Amanda Quattrocchi has been suspended indefinitely from the women's basketball team for multiple violations of team rules, coach Tina Slinker said Tuesday.

Quattrocchi and junior forward Mia Ajekwu were both suspended before the Mean Green's game at Arkansas State on Saturday. Ajekwu will return to the Mean Green's lineup for a home game against Troy on Thursday.

Quattrocchi played in 13 of the Mean Green's first 17 games and averaged 11.6 minutes a game.

Ajekwu is averaging 8.4 points and 4.9 rebounds a game.

Any ideas what happened, or what was involved?

I'm pretty sure privacy will rule here as it should unless something comes off the Joneboro blotters, which hopefully nothing does and just leave to Slinker to discipline in private.
