Is it too early to start talkn about the NCAA or NIT? That Denver win may have helped out our NIT chances if the NCAA falls thru...What do you think the chances of us getttn to the postseason are?

i think it's too early, but we probably need 20+ wins and a good showing in the conference tournament for an nit invite. if we had won at a&m, i would think that 20 would probably have gotten us into the nit. dry.gif

20 is a big hill to climb. Pomeroy's projections for our remaining games. We're not favored in most sad.gif

niether unless we win out.

To many non-D1 schools on our schedule, plus we did not help by losing the UH and A&M games, plus the UNO loss is a bad loss right now.

Only way into NCAA is a SB tourney win. If so then likely to be seeded 13-16 which anything below 12 is very tough to win. I would love to see a first round UNT vs Big 12 school.

NIT would have to have a 19-20 win season.

Yes it's too early. Let's focus on winning the West division right now. If the team can pull that off then we will see where we are after that.

The Sun Belt is currently a one bid conference to the NCAA tourney. That means you must win the conference tournament. With our reputation, I think that we would have to have 20+ wins and lose in the conference championship game to be considered for the NIT.

The latter half of our conference schedule doesn't look too great. we play W. Kent., Den, Laf, south ala. and Troy i think all away. We need to become a great road team for the last 2 weeks this season.
