Is it just me, because I could have sworn when I was going to a North Texas Ne Louisiana game there were 5,000 fans easily. Did they draw quite a bit better in those days? That was in the days od Jesse Ratliff. Let me know! What will it take? I think the student body has proven apathetic at best. You must aim for the Denton and outlying communites in its Marketing.

Just anything at this point is good. Our only promotion that I see that actually brings in people that wouldn't have normally come is the kids playing basketball at halftime. All other promotions (Couch, half-court shot, tishirt cannon, etc) seem to only cater to those already at the game. I think our school has proven that if the atmosphere is right (like tailgating at football games), people will show up. We have hardcore basketball fans right now coming and that is it. No promotion in years to actually those that might go if they just had a little nudge to come to the game.

Adler has been pushing us having a super basketball day when in a couple of weeks (when the football recruits will be here), but I have a feeling it is falling on deaf/apathetic ears. I would love to see that Dancers promote games on campus the day of the game. If I were a student and I saw them wearing their new outfit, I would certainly listen
