Not only does Tulsa not care who knows what players they are going after, they also show which coach is responsible for bringing that player in for a visit (you have to click page 2 for that information).

http://tulsa.rivals.com/commitlist.asp?school=195

It looks like about half of the players that they are going after are here in the metroplex.

Silver if DD was going after these players you would be screaming

Two OL under 265

Three TE under 240

and a DB with 4.7 speed

what the hell do you want???????

Noticed that they signed a O-linemen who is listed at 230. There is such a premium on the beef that it seems most schools are having to go after the smaller guys with good footwork and bulk them up.

True, but that OL is 6'5", so I would assume that he has the frame to add much more weight. NT's 230 lbs. line recruits are all 5' 10" to 6'!

Keep telling these lies and the people on this board will make it fact.

Screaming? Sorry, but you have no idea about what my reaction would be. This is about how one program is much more open with their fans than ours.

However, I will say this. If DD had had the same season that the Tulsa coach has had, then I would assume that the players that he was going after were going to be tough, smart, and disciplined. The size issue would work itself out.

Who the hell are these guys? I don't find them listed on any of the game programs that I purchased this year.

They're probably walk-ons. There's a TON of turnover with walkons, so they'll oftentimes get lost in the shuffle.

They're much more likely to be up on the website than on a printed media.

UNT's nonexistant or poor showing in the Top 100 lists takes a greater toll on our image to recruits and alumni than losing a couple announced recruits to theft.

The list I see shows Rice, U-h, SMU and UNT with 0

TCU and UTEP with 1

UNACCEPTABLE! HIGHER EXPECTATIONS!

The starting five the last couple of games averaged 6-3 1/2 and 288 pounds. By today's standards, that's definitely below average for Division 1-A.

The player left off of the list was the lightest starter, Joel Foster, who only weighs 268. Lineberry was the only 300 pound starter and also was considered our best lineman.

If they should happen to move (the JUCO All-American) Stanley to center next year, it's possible that he could be the only sub-300 pounder in the starting line next year. The guards and tackles MIGHT be Lineberry, Venegas, Brown and Banks and would be our heaviest line ever. However, the second string line would be light, with three @ 285 or less.

I noticed that this years All-American team has a center who is 6'3" X 285. I think we could get by with a 285lb center.

I just hope that most of our O-lineman and all of our D-lineman spend a great amount of time in the weight room during the off season.

By the way, if a team that recruits 230 lb. linemen can beat us by 50, I hope that they don't decide to go big.
