do you ever seen citizens stop to help? I am just curious because with 12 major fires in one day, does that not consume some departments? Maybe I need to become at least a volunteer fireman because when I see you guys out there working these fires to try and keep them from our houses, I just want to grab a shovel and help.

I was just wondering and I realize this isn't a sports question, but I really do appreciate all that you firemen do for us ordinary citizens! You guys are awesome!

Yes, all the time. Check in and ask your local volunteer department if you have one. They won't turn you away. If your out and see guys working and trying to catch their breath ask them if they need something to drink. A cold glass of water goes a long way.
