It won't help our RPI but North Texas blew away Division II Angelo State tonight at the Super Pit. Reserves played a lot more than the starters. Everyone that participated for North Texas scored. Sturns, Howerton, Edwards and one other were in double figures.

We didn't particularly look that good most of the game. It's just that Angelo State played that poorly. Also, we gave up 45 points in the second half. Granted that it was pretty much garbage time, but that's not the kind of defensive intensity that's going to help us win against better teams.

Still, a win's a win. I'll take it and be happy about it. smile.gif

31-0 with about 8:30 left to go when ASU makes their first free throw 31-1

31-4 with about 5:20 left when they hit their first field goal to make it 31-6

Their first 4 points were off I think 6 mb 7 free throws. From what I understand ASU is a much better team than this. They played UTSA tough last week.

Either way this was a good win and I hope the practice for the reserves will pay off Friday against Houston. Also, Howerton is going to be much better that Barnett.

I too would like to know why we played a Div 2 school.

What is the most points scored by one team before the other team scores in NCAA history ?

34pts
