Turner Gill will be coaching at Buffalo next season.

I'm glad that Gill finally got the chance to be head coach of a 1A institution but I hate to see him at Buffalo. No one has had a winning record there yet. They'll probably say that yet another black coach failed when there is absolutely no bearing on skin color. I doubt that a purple people-eater could survive that climate (figuratively and literally).

Turner Gill's first coaching oportunity was at NT. He was a graduate assistant in '89 or '90 under Corky Nelson. He went to Nebraska next for a long stint. I met him once, his wife or girlfriend (I don't remember) was hot and he was a nice guy. I hope he can get Buffalo out of the Bottom 10.
