was thinking the same thing, CE. I dont think ASU has a chance, and the only way I see this being close is if Southern Miss thinks the same way. Maybe they can catch them off guard. But I think there are probably 2-3 teams in the belt that could play southern miss better. hope Im wrong!

Honestly the only team I think that could have done better was ULL, but they didn't play when it counted...

Southern Miss whacked North Texas 31-10 in last years' New Orleans Bowl, and intensity might be a problem in this years' bowl.

That's how it seemed to me too, until I looked at the replay earlier in the season and realized we were only down by 9 with around 7 minutes to go.

Nothing else to say but: GO stAte!

given how poorly Arkansas State played against us several weeks ago, I wouldn't be surprised to see that outcome. This is a Southern Miss team that went into Alabama the first week of the season and almost beat the Crimson Tide, in doing so scored the 2nd most points that were put up against Alabama all season.

Also doesn't help that Southern Miss has a decent pass offense, 34th in the country, and Arkansas State was near the bottom in pass defense.

Matt - do you know that SNL skit - "Debbie Downer"? You should try out for "Davey Downer" or something - you are really starting to turn into a bitter guy and at such a young age.

Matt as Davey Downer: "Well, I would love to watch the game, if only I didn't have cancer" (insert noise - Wonk, Wonggggggggggg). Well, I would love to see ASU win but unfortunately they suck so bad (Wonk, Wongggggggg). Well, it is a good thing the Sun Belt sucks so bad, at least we were able to win 2 games by default alone, Wonk, Wongggggg)..."

Cheer up dude, you have the rest of your life to be bitter - if you are this bitter your Junior year at NT, you are gonna get REAL bitter after you are out of school for about 10-15 years.

finals and the end of the semester will turn will turn anyone bitter pretty quickly.

Yeah, I remember those days as well - let me give you a little bit of veteran's advice... DRINK LOTS OF BEER! It will take that bitter taste out of your mouth - even if it is just a temporary fix, lol.
