OK,

If CUSA loses another east team, would they be inclined to add another east school, or continue the shift west. I think that they would look east to appease the eastern schools...one of the FU's or Troy?

Memphis to the Big East sort of seems far fetched given the number of teams that are in the Big East right now. Currently there are 16 teams playing basketball in the conference and I know that some are complaining that it's too big right now. If Memphis was to go to the Big East, I would imagine it would be Football-only.

I could handle being a football only member of CUSA for the moment. Once we get the rest of our facilities and after our BBall teams prove we can light it up this year, they'll probably reconsider us as a full member. But honestly, although the Belt is not known for its stellar athletics, our other sports do not suffer as much because of the conference. Football is the only sport where your conference matters so much in determining your post-season hopes. If we can just move into CUSA for football only, I think it would be a major step in the right direction.

Of course, this is all just wishful thinking....
