Rick,

It's time to practice your anti UT rhetoric (like you need practice) as our women's team has a legitimate shot at beating Texas in their own house Sunday. The Lady Longhorns are beat up, young and over-hyped. Our Lady Eagles are not necesarrily rolling, but they are doing what it takes to win games. This game will be a test for both teams. I think this will be a special year for our women's team, and if our men's team can develop, they could turn some heads.

Should be a good game. I think the horns are #19 in the country, but womans basketball can be deceiving. I think on paper w have alot of momentum but they do have talent at center and point guard. If we can keep that in check, wear them down, because our girls are in Shape! We just have to worry about the double team of their post. It will come down to if they can pass we are in trouble. If we shoot very well and play some very good D. The upset is on!

UT 68

Hope that is reversed!

Texas loses two players in one dayESPN.com news services

AUSTIN, Texas -- The same day the Texas Longhorns found out they had lost freshman Earnesia Williams for the season due to a torn ACL, the team lost a second player, too, as junior Kalee Carey announced she was leaving the squad.

The 6-foot-4 junior forward -- the second-tallest player in Texas history -- was a two-year letterwinner. Carey appeared in two of six games so far this season, playing a total of 10 minutes while failing to tally any points or rebounds.

Carey last played against South Carolina (one minute) in Texas' 59-55 win on Nov. 25. Last season, Carey saw action in 31 games as a reserve post, scoring 98 points with 72 rebounds.

My friends and I liked to bet how long it would take before Carey fell down. Average time span, 2 minutes. Our nickname for her was "The toddler", b/c that's how she runs.
