Football Banquet! What date is it? I'll go if

I want to attend the Mean Green Football Banquet in January, so long as it is not January 4th. I'll be sitting in front of my TV with chips and dips watching 2 teams duke it out in a little stadium they call the Rose Bowl.

By the way, I believe Vince Young will win the Heisman Trophy this Saturday night in New York. Leinert won it last year and I don't believe they will vote another Heisman in 2 straight seasons for the same team. Young has put up great numbers and is a leader as quarterback of the Longhorns. The win over Ohio State was huge.

Here's hoping for a much better season for our Mean Green next fall.

For the longest time I was thinking that Bush would win, but the more I ponder it this week, I have decided that Meager will actually win it by virtue of write-ins.

Count me in too for the banquet. I want to watch the NC game myself, though I think USC will once again expose the Big 12 for the second straight season.

Here's the info on the Football Banquet ...

The 2005 North Texas Football Banquet is Saturday, January 21, 2006. The event will again be held at the Gateway Center at North Texas and the doors will open at 5:30 pm and dinner will be served at 6:00. Dinner is being catered by Outback Steakhouse and Verde Catering.

Tickets for the event are $30 each or $240 for a table of 8 seats. Seating is limited and RSVP's will be accepted until January 16th, or until all available seats are filled. George Dunham of The Ticket and MGRN will be the emcee. If you have any questions or would like to reserve your seats, please contact Ryan at (940) 369-8627.
