Our only hope is for "Radio" to go pro...and the entire rest of the team get busted on felony charges. then and only then would we have a chance.

In all hostesty though UT is so one dimensional. Its Radio or bust for them...watch for USC to beat the DOG S out of them.

This UT team couldn't beat the OU team that got spanked by USC or LSU in the previous two title games. This years USC team, although having their worst defense in 4 seasons, has the best offense in college football. An offense that will force Texas to keep up with them. Something Texas is not used to doing.

USC - 45

UT - 24

My money will be on USC. I hope the public pounds Texas enough to get the line under 5.5 by gametime.

I usually hate Texas more than any other team (besides Texas Tech) but this is one game I will be rooting for the Longhorns. USC deserves a beating. That cocky smirk needs to be knocked off.

I was watching the "mop-up" portion of the Texas/Colo game. I thought that UT's THIRD STRING QB looked pretty impressive.

(Shaking his head in disbelief) Sometimes I just can't stand it. sad.gif

I dont think UT has a third string QB (without buring a red shirt), #7 is the backup senior. And he isnt bad, but he will be gone next year. If Vince leave, Texas will be in the same boat as us with a redshirt frosh taking his first snap in the opener. Although this will not matter as the aforementioned running by committe will likely put a world of hurt on us anyways.

Right. UT has no chance. USC will mop the Rose Bowl with them. "Book it."

Wow, I can't beleive after the gross turnaround in North Texas' direction you would think of bringing up years past. We've all seen how much can be accomplished or not within 1 year.

And I think OU was GROSSLY overrated both of those seasons and backed into the NC game BOTH years. There were many, many teams that were better not only at that time of year, but throughout the whole season had better wins and better losses. Who loses to Kansas and still expects to be in the NC game?

This will be the best NC game since the Miami-Ohio St. game because it really is 2 undefeated teams going at each other for an UNDISPUTED and sole possession national title.

Or even Kansas State. I agree OU was overrated, but grossly seems to imply they were like #21. It was more that they were actually #5 or #6.

I still hate how the Miami/ Ohio St. game ended - I hope nothing like that mars this year's match up and it gets decided on the field.

I still say let USC and Texas play an SEC schedule and see what happens, but I am very jacked up for this game.

The interesting part is the coaching staffs - Chizik and Carrol are masters and it will be great to see how they scheme for each other. All things equal, I would take the NFL coach over Mack Brown, mainly because Vince Young had to ask Mack to stop coaching him for Texas to turn things around after OU last year. I hope we see happy "I belong here" Mack Brown instead of constipated, puckered sphincter Mack Brown in this game because it should be a lot of fun.

The Big12 is one of the worst conferences this year(still light years better than the Belt biggrin.gif ). Their next best team isn't even in the top 15. Just look at how ridiculous the score was for this year's title game. Iowa St. couldn't beat Kansas to clinch even after they were given a favor when the Buffs were blasted by an average Nebraska team.

Don't get me wrong, I still believe the NC will be one helluva game.

He was wearing #13 and he was playing QB. Their 2nd string QB wears #7.

Oh well shame on me then cause I was at the game, and didnt even notice-- stupid $7.50 beers! blink.gif

I thought he was a redshirt freshman, must be thinking of someone else. My apologies.

Once Texas scored 70 and started running that boring "dont score any more points" offense, I tuned out and ended up talking about NT to the guy sitting next to me. I still say anytime someone can score a hundred, they should (which is a brave stance to take considering im a NT fan). biggrin.gif
