Justin Tuck is the primary backup defensive end, and he's good enough to start for most teams. AA's going to have to get better, and do some things on special teams for the time being. Strahan isn't showing any signs of slowing down in his 12th year.

Yeah, if Strahan gets injured, they'll put Tuck in and/or move Umenyiora over. Awasom is really more of the #3 at DE. Still, he's done enough to hang around there.

I have seen him... I see him in street clothes on the sideline. He doesn't make the active gameday roster.

I saw him on special teams earlier in the year, but not as much lately. He's in a tough spot because Strahan and Umienyora are the best DE pair in the league, and the Giants used draft choices on Tuck and Butler. Both Tuck and Butler make plays whenever they get a chance to get on the field. The Giants are set at DE for a long time to come.

His best bet may be to stick with the Giants for as long as he can, then move on in a couple of years to a team with less depth.

The Giants have one of the best D-Lines in football and two of the premier pass rushers in the league. Umenyiora really amazed me with his speed and talent whenever I watch the Giants play. Hopefully they like what they see in AA and think he could develop into a good rush end. It appears they know what it takes and what to do.
