DENTON (11/30/05) - The North Texas Athletics Annual Canned Food Drive is currently underway and the Mean Green is looking for donations. Canned goods are being accepted through December 9.

The Canned Food Drive benefits the Denton Community Food Center and is an opportunity for North Texas student-athletes to put their competitive spirit to use to benefit the community. Each team will compete against others to see who can bring in the most food in a two-week period. A winner will be announced on the final day, and the winning team will receive their prize.

Donations can be left with Mean Green student-athletes or dropped off at the North Texas Athletic Department on Bonnie Brae. A room at the athletic academic office, across from the athletic department, is being designated for the food drive.
