Less than 12 hours after defiantly saying he and his staff would return for a 13th season on South Main, Ken Hatfield resigned as Rice football coach Tuesday night.

I have always believed that Ken Hatfield was a class act. Rice may find a coach who will win more games but they will not find anyone to better represent their university.

please no Ken Hatfield, he runs even a more boring offense than the North Texas offense right now under Dickey. Hatfield's teams don't throw the ball, usually they are dead last or near the bottom nearly every year in passing offense.
