There were a few questionable decisions yesterday but that is in every game that you watch, so it doesnt bother me. What I did see though, was a team that needs to learn how to win again. I looked out there at one point on defense and we had 4 sophmores, and 4 true freshman on defense, and only 2 seniors. Also on offense, we had freshman Qb's, a freshman center, a freshman TE, and we will have all the WR's, and one of the premier backs in nation last year, all back. Dont be so quick to throw this whole program down the drain. Let those guys get time to grow. I remember us being young a few years ago, and those guys grew and won a bowl game and were a 9-4 team. One thing that does worry me though and that is O-line and D-line, we are going to have to get better there and get better quickly. We were terrible this year on both sides of the ball. ALso I am not convinced with our Qb's just yet, I didnt think Meager progressed much this year and Phillips throws the ball well but he cant move. I have no doubt that we will better next year and I think we can win the Sun Belt but our schedule will still be pretty tough. We will have to go to Lafayette, Troy, and Monroe, and dont look now but Tulsa will play for the conf. title, and look at SMU they are starting to turn the corner and it will be tough for us to beat them next year. It doesnt get any easier for the Mean Green, but let the young kids grow and lets see what happens.

Yes it is his job but also the young guys are going to learn how to make plays to win games.........

It would be logical that after 10 full games the coaches could have helped the players along in winning these games, the close losses should fall on the coaches.

These players are not young anymore after 5-6 games, with proper coaching they should have been acclimated and ready to go.

Of course talent can not make up for poor playcalling and defensive schemes.

Why were we still having trouble getting the plays in on time after 10 games? We ended up with 1 delay of game and burned one timeout again.

Oy vay!

I hate the argument of "well we are 5 or 6 games in, they arent freshman anymore" well yes they are. The more experience the better you get, that is why you always see in high school or college that a senior laden team is pretty darn good.

Players have to execute the play they're given. They have to step up and make a play. Too many times this year, UNT did not do this.

Yes it can. Notre Dame and UT both did it this weekend.

There are also many successful young teams (and we aren't that young). The difference is good coaching.

If we need senior-laden teams to win in the Sun Belt, then we don't have a very good coach.

after 5-6 games you aretill young...that is ridiculous, 10 seniors on the entire team, that is exetremely young and green (no pun). proper coaching could have helped but not as much as experience.

i agree with poor playcalling and d schemes...it was awful all season.

close game mean that you have a young team, that may not have the game time experience needed to win.
