UNT falls despite Cobbs' big finish

DENTON – Over the course of his career, Patrick Cobbs rewrote North Texas' record book and posted a host of memorable performances at Fouts Field.

Cobbs came up with another big effort in his final college game Saturday, rushing for 180 yards on 37 carries to reach two impressive milestones. But he couldn't help the Mean Green avoid a 31-24 loss to Arkansas State that finished UNT's season at 2-9, 2-5 in the Sun Belt Conference.

ASU running back Antonio Warren barreled into the end zone from a yard out with 30 seconds left to give the Indians the win in front of 7,691.
