54-2! 54-2! It's hard for me to say, much less witnessing such a trouncing by a team we were supposed to beat.

Anyway, I get home at midnight, after driving around a while trying to absorb what had just happened. I walk up the stairs to our bedroom, and there is my Margie...literally laughing histerically. "Spears...what the hell happened? You have back to back national rushing champions in your backfield! I listened to the game, and couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was Tulsa that good, or is your Mean Green football team some kind of a joke?"

I told her,"Margie, please....I need to get some sleep."

Then there was our other two home games. That's the good news...

The bad news is we have two more home games starting this weekend.
