1)This idea that people exist in a little protective bubble when they are at their jobs is plain and simple B__l S__t! Someone actually had the audacity to ask the question "how would you like it if someone came to your job and yelled at you?" I don't like it, I deal with it every single day, and no, I have yet to rush at them to threaten bodily harm. I would be looking at the help wanted ads as we speak if I did. Hearing "We're being outcoached" or some booing is lightweight garbage compared to actual verbal venom and the real threat of bodily harm that some of us deal with at work. And let's not forget that his job, like mine, exists only entirely in the public arena. You invite emotion and visibility in his profession. Incomparable and ludicrous to even ask this silly question!

2)Ramon did not just suddenly snap. He's had angst in some form or fashion for a while. He took to referring to me as "the AD" a long time ago. Clearly I show up and offer my opinions a bit too much for his liking. At 4:15 on Saturday I was in the parking lot with a player's parents and Ramon drove by. He said to them "I see you're hanging out with the AD" to which I replied "Nah, I retired." His clever retort? "So you'll stop ripping me on the internet?" Ladies and Gents, we are not ignored or unfelt on this board like some might assume.

3)When your title is offensive co-ordinator it is assumed that your coaching should be the measure of your success and value. If there is anything which is in bounds it is play calling. That's what he does for a living! If Silver had questioned his manhood, his family, his wife/significant other, hell even his wardrobe we'd be in a whole different arena. He didn't. He questioned his coaching and this was over the line!? What's next? Is the chef gonna come out of the kitchen and threaten to kick your ass if you say the soup's cold?

The Soup Nazi from 'Seinfeld' would have done that! "NO SOUP FOR YOU!!"

I agree that probably the one comment from the stands at this game was not the sole cause of RF's anger, just the last straw. I imagine it was a build up of frustration over many games and yellings. I hear many fans make comments directed up to the pressbox and I'm sure some are heard up there.

But like someone mentioned, if you're in charge of the last-ranked offense in 1-A don't expect compliments from the paying customers. Just think what a last-ranked offensive coordinator at OU might hear as he walks down the stairs losing 21-7 at half to ULL? ohmy.gif

Amen to that. Looks like we might have the next Bobby Knight as our OC. Except Knight actually is regarded as a good coach.

NO! Remember on Seinfeld, the Soup Nazi actually made good soup most of the time.

I must defer to that logic. Do I get any takers for 'Rabid Lunatic'?

Emmitt the "AD". I like it! And yes, DD would keep his job for another year. I am okay with that too. (I know, here come the emails).

I think we do a weekly "Ask the AD" post for Emm. The answers will never be boring, I can tell you that...

GMG!!! wink.gif
