Im not sure if I should post the actual e-mail on here, but I just sent a rather lengthy e-mail regarding the situation(s) involving the event staff and our fans tonight, to the President/CEO of Contemporay Services Corp. We will see how it is handled and what comes of this.

You're right, I should have done that last night.

damonzumwalt@contemporaryservices.com

He is the President and CEO of the company. I don't know if we all should e-mail him. It may annoy him to the point where he doesnt to anything. I would suggest that everyone just go to the website. There is a link to the corporate contacts right there on the front page. Click the link and there is a whole list of people. Maybe if we e-mail a bunch of the corporate people, more of them will realize the problem, and someone will do something about this.

I would however, suggest that if Rick or anyone else who directly had a confrontation decides to contact the company, they contact the prez. The two incidents I mentioned were Rick's and the statement about the employee telling the fan "Get your effing sheet together or your arse will be in effing handcuffs." That was the PG version. AS I said in the e-mail, I don't know what the student was doing, and I don't care, that statement is wrong.

I hope we fire CSC immediately. Their employees and their absurd policies detract from the game being a fan friendly experience.

I don't know, maybe we discovered that the athletic department had too much extra cash so we contracted with this army of clowns to come in and screw things up.

Here's another observation of CSC STUPIDITY from last night. When fans were walking up to the stadium, the Miller Girls were handing out the Thunder Stix. There was a group of kids in line in front of me all wearing their little league football jerseys. Although the line wasn't particularly long, it was moving quite slowly because of the usual CSC incompetance with using the ticket scanners. The kids all inflated their Stix while waiting in the line, and then were told that they could not be admitted into the stadium with the Stix because they were already inflated. When their coach asked for clarification, he was told that inflated Thunder Stix create a litter problem inside the stadium and that any that were inflated outside the stadium could not be admitted. He asked if the kids could just deflate the ones they had and take them in, and was told 'No'. The kids all felt dejected as they were forced to throw away their new toys for no reason whatsoever.

Same thing happened when we entered the stadium, a couple of kids with I assume their parents were made to throw their thunder-sticks a way.

Crazy Stuff going on in Denton.

And I just sent them a letter asking them to step up their gate security to insure that banned items or intoxicated fans can not enter the stadium. Also sent a letter ot the AD asking them to revoke season tickets for any individuals in possession of banned items.

No,

Shaft is correct, all banned items or intoxicated fans do not enter the stadium.

Any AD that revokes season tickets is slitting his programs throats.

Oh wait by banning tortillas, umbrellas, seat cushions, battle flags NT is already cutting its throat. We have a small, but loyal fan base and these rules are making the only reason to go to games is the tailgating, which ends up making intoxicated fans.

On second thought, Shaft you are full of it!

The truth is out. shaft is LJ!

I suggest Adler and anyone else email RV with these observations. Getting a corporation to sponsor a give away only to have the hired stadium personel take them away is ridiculous. Every incident from last night is an embarrasment to the University.

RE: Contemporary Services, Mr. Clean and Mr. T should never again be assigned to a UNT function. If their contract allows an out, we should terminate Contemporary Systems immediately and put someone else, ANYONE else, in their role. At the least, their contract for next year must not be renewed. The administration needs to take a clue from the venues that host other entertainment events (I THINK what I saw was supposed to be entertainment) and hire one of the firms that has the temperament to deal with people having a good time.

RE: RF, that pounding sound you hear is one of the last nails in your coffin!

RE: Shaft, I hope you get it.

CSC is not a podunk little operation - so the odds are probably against them caring too much if that is the attitude their employees have now and have had at all games I have attended as well (at NT and NFL in another city - saw an odd number of people expelled their as well.)

The best course of action (that will make something happen) probably is to contact the sponsors here - although you run the risk of shooting money that is already bookmarked for the athletic deparment into pieces. Not saying that is a deterrent, but I would enjoy seeing someone in the more money answers all our problems camp take money away.

As Bart Simpson once said, the ironing is delicious...

I recieved this e-mail from the Dallas area Manager Yesterday. I will be contacting him at some point today.

Brian,

The email below was forwarded to me in regards to the incident(s) that took place at UNT vs. Louisiana – Lafayette game on Saturday. If you have an opportunity could you please give me a call at my office (214-768-****) regarding these situations? I am the Branch Manager over our Dallas/Fort Worth area and expect that my employees treat guest with courtesy and respect. I would like to find out from you a little more information in regards to the situations and the exact locations and descriptions of the security staff involved.

Being involved in College sporting events for most of my life I understand and appreciate the different traditions that many schools have established. At the beginning of the season UNT informed me that this year tortillas are to be considered a prohibited item at the games and should not be allowed inside the stadium. However much fun it may be throwing the tortillas after touchdowns it makes for a difficult clean up post game as well as a potential safety issues in regards to slip and falls.

At the gates to the stadium my staff is directed to do bag checks for prohibited items. Being a security officer you understand that short of doing pat-downs you will never be able to stop all prohibited items from getting into the stadium. The direction I give my staff is to approach the guest and inform them that they are in possession of a prohibited item and to please put them away. If the situation happens again we reserve the right to confiscate the item or if there are problems, have them escorted out of the venue. I do direct my staff to get the NT Athletic dept involved before an eviction is to take place.

I am responsible for the CSC staff that is at the gates as working as ticket takers / bag checkers and the ushers in the seating bowl. The event staff that work on the field are not associated with CSC but work for North Texas. From your email below I take it that it was my staff that was in the middle of the staff on the field and the guest. Either which way I hope my employee was performing his job with professionalism and courtesy. I sincerely hope that it was not my staff that was involved on the student side using the profanity and vulgarity. If in the case it was, I would like to know because that is not the type of person I want in my employment. As I mentioned above, please give me a call so I can get some clarity on who is who. I appreciate you bringing this matter to our company’s attention and hope to get this situation resolved quickly

I will let everyone know how it goes. Stay Tuned.
