Things to do around the house for Margie. I went to Ruston. Glad I went. I'll read the Sunday paper to see how we did. The LSU game could be ugly...but not much uglier than most of our games this season. We were lucky to win at Middle Tennessee. We barely won vs powerful Florida International. Losing our home opener 54-2 is just plain hard to even say! So, we are rebuilding....that does not excuse being blown out by a below average Louisiana Tech team.

Frankly, I'll stay off the fire Darrell Dickey topic. Let him have his due time to get us down to the level we were during Rod Rust's last year here.

So, I'll clean house for Margie. North Texas has another house that needs to be cleaned. I will be at the Louisiana-Lafayette game and stay to the end of the game...like I always do. We'll deserve the crowd that shows up.

      "Where Are The Fans?"

      Haven’t seen this mentioned, but once again…… We started the season out pretty well. Got some local and national attention, to the point we were a trendy pick. “Tech better watch out!” Reece Davis on ESPN Game Day picked us as his “superdog”. We were starting to turn a corner regarding perception. And not only do we get beat, we got absolutely destroyed on national TV. Outclassed, out coached, out played and embarrassed. We were taking a few steps forward only to get hit in the face ONCE AGAIN and get launched back to what many think is our rightful place. How many people paying attention to our game vs TTech didn’t even bother to look at the schedule to see our next games much less make plans to show up. This probably happened about halfway through the 2nd quarter of that game. We are in a situation where we have no room for error. When you’re in this situation, no amount of marketing can overcome getting embarrassed like we were in Lubbock. We had our chance. Blew it.

      Yes, please. Why do we always relegate UNT to thinking we just have to go after someone else’s failure? We need to find a Lance Leipold, in my opinion. Find a proven winner at a lower level.
