Thanks...... Does Oscar ever post on Go Mean Green? Did he go to NT?

The 1-AA logo and the flying worm are the two best that we have had over the years. 13 years is the longest time for any of our logos.

Interesting.

The stAte logo at ASU was designed by a trainer at ASU. Coach Lacewell and staff stumbled on to it when someone cleaned the guy's desk out after he graduated. The school made a few tweaks but that's where it came from.

I always liked that interlocked "NT" but wasn't crazy about the "Eagle thru the hula-hoop" as some called it. That NT was used for several years on school rings and would look good by itself on a helmet. Anyone have $50,000 to change the helmet logo? blink.gif

Speaking of the dead horse that keeps taking a beating, my class ring is a Josten's ring from 1992. It has an interlocking NT on it that I haven't seen posted before. Basically, the N is laid on the T. Not good with photoshop or I would have posted this.

Agree! Flying worm and 1-AA logo are the best ones ever. It would be nice if NT would have a roll back the clock night and trot out with the flying worm. The alumni section would go crazy, donations would come flying in, a new 35k seat football stadium would be built, etc. etc.

Given the fact that one of the lagacies of UNT athletics is the many logos over the years, I have always thought that it would be interesting to have all of the logos on the floor of the basketball floor....along the sidelines, etc. Of course, the current logos would be big and the former ones smaller. That way, anyone who attends the games could see the logo from their time at NT. This could also be done in some form at the football field.
