Neither. I have to trust that the coach knows better than I do on who to play at quarterback, and I think DD is a GREAT coach. Before you say it I know many people are upset and blame the coach. He got the praise when they were winning, and he gets the crap when they are not winning. It just comes with the job. He is, remember, the 4 time SBC coach of the year. I remember most of the coaches the last 20 years, and can't remember one better than DD, and can't think of a better one that is willing to come to UNT.

I have said enough. I can type on this forever.

The old run "3 yards and a cloud of dust; keep the score close and try to win in the 4th Quarter. It just doesn't work any more with D-1A teams which will be further demonstrated as the season goes by.

It's the failure to accept that comparable teams from past years can simply plow us under with balanced offense and reasonable rushing defense. We are running the modern equialent to the old Single Wing. Who uses that any more because teams have learned to defense it. We may be recruiting the wrong people on offense.

Excellent post. We have become stagnant. Time for us to re-invent the wheel or get a new wheelmaker. BTW, for wanting to be a run-first team, or establish the run with two NCAA rushing champions, we opened against La Tech with like 8 out of 10 plays being passes. Perhaps it was trying to loosen the defense, or not having confidence in the OL to run block, but it seemed strange, and didn't work either. Next?
