I'm really a generally positive guy...always ready to go watch the Mean Green. I was very used to small crowds at Fouts Field when I was a freahman at NT in 1955. Since then, I've seen some great crowds at Fouts, and not so great. I've seen the magic that Hayden Fry instilled in players, and we knew that every time we took the field, we had the chance to win. And we beat some really well-known teams...even when we were beat up and playing inexperienced people. That is not the way Coach Dickey coaches. Just a fact, sadly.

Now, I'm thinking I can count the crowd at our home game vs Louisiana-Lafayette, and I won't have to do much math. We are sailing into troubled waters, with no escape in sight. Coach Dickey's contract runs through 2009, and I'm in no position to buy it out, unless I win the lottery. If I do, that's another question.

This is my last thought on yesterday's blowout loss to an average LaTech team:

Should the Diet Coke guy replace what he gives Coach Dickey to Prune Juice. That's the only way we can get him off the sidelines.
