Ok..oh, I forgot....we're inexperienced...got a quarterback who hadn't taken a snap in a college football game. Well... Coach....it's 6 games later....and what exactly have we got. Several players who deserve better coaching. Johnny Quinn is a major college talent. Back-to-Back National Rushing Champions...need better coaching and better game planning....and preparation. Blocking by the veteran offensive line would also help.

So, are we ready to take this football program to the next level? Is the elevator going up...OR DOWN, DOWN, DOWN. Can we afford much more of this luxury of mediocrity? I hate to think about the first 2 games we play next year. Texas in Austin followed by SMU in Fouts Field. They are both OUT OF CONFERENCE games!!

This year is not through, yet. We are 2-1 in SunBelt play. We might even take the field vs LSU next Saturday, but, oh my gosh......then we have 4 games left. All SunBelt games. We could still win conference...could? Wake me when this season is over. I'll be at the three games left at Fouts Field. Me and a few hundred others.

      "Where Are The Fans?"

      Haven’t seen this mentioned, but once again…… We started the season out pretty well. Got some local and national attention, to the point we were a trendy pick. “Tech better watch out!” Reece Davis on ESPN Game Day picked us as his “superdog”. We were starting to turn a corner regarding perception. And not only do we get beat, we got absolutely destroyed on national TV. Outclassed, out coached, out played and embarrassed. We were taking a few steps forward only to get hit in the face ONCE AGAIN and get launched back to what many think is our rightful place. How many people paying attention to our game vs TTech didn’t even bother to look at the schedule to see our next games much less make plans to show up. This probably happened about halfway through the 2nd quarter of that game. We are in a situation where we have no room for error. When you’re in this situation, no amount of marketing can overcome getting embarrassed like we were in Lubbock. We had our chance. Blew it.

      Yes, please. Why do we always relegate UNT to thinking we just have to go after someone else’s failure? We need to find a Lance Leipold, in my opinion. Find a proven winner at a lower level.
