As you notice only USU is not represented from those departed from the belt and NMSU is the worst team in the nation...

Some on this board may think we should be there, but there is not a team on there we would lose to. Now if it was a bottom 15...

We're not too far ahead of CUSA though. We have three teams on the list while they have two.

And how's this for depressing? SMU isn't on the list but they are the punchline for Rice's entry:

"Tomorrow Never Dies": SMU is still on the schedule (Nov. 5 in Dallas), so the Owls have hope for a win this season.

Yes but top to bottom, C-USA is much better than the belt. UH, UTEP, Tulsa, Memphis, Marshall... all would win the sunbelt if in this conference.

And SMU will always be a punchline, which is the way it should be

Just a crazy almost hard to believe note about that Aggie game. I personally did not watch the "all evening" affair, but rather chose to listen to it from the LOST Beach on the North Shore waiting for a late night bonfire/beach party.

But here is the crazy stat - June Jones (whose style I can't stand after a 3 hour 3 quarters) did not call a running play until 11:18 LEFT in the 4th quarter. The announcers were waiting to see if he would do it - go the entire game without calling a running play. They commented that he must be waiting for a more appropriate game.

I am all about more "exciting" football, but please beware because I never want to become another NMSU or Hawaii styled football team. It can be tortorous to watch a 4 hour affair every weekend and watch a team continue to throw down the field in the 4th quarter because they don't know HOW to run out the clock.
