This has nothing to do with UNT, but it does beg the question why other college writers in other towns can ask the tough questions, but no one around these parts can seem to ask the tough ones about UNT.

(These Hogs have some good players, but they are few and far between. Early in the season it was the defense that couldn't get the job done and now that the defense is beginning to give the team a chance to win, the offense has taken a step backward.

"I've always hesitated about being negative toward an amateur athlete, especially one who seems to be giving it all he has, but sophomore quarterback Robert Johnson hasn't been getting the job done. It's evident he has a strong arm, but at times he looks like a deer caught in the headlights without a clue. Saturday he threw balls behind wide-open receivers and then down at their feet.

When you've got a receiver with the play-making capabilities of Marcus Monk you've got to get the ball in his hands. Yet Saturday Monk caught one pass for 18 yards and that was early in the first half when the Porkers appeared poised to take charge of the game.")

Just don't get why our writers around here can't seem to ask the questions that the fans have.
