Forget the bicycle, I am taking my Ford Windstar, and Jeff and I will be in Ruston plenty early for tailgating and all the fun of the game. We will stop in Bossier on the way back for Breakfast and get back to Dallas right after that.

By the way, I've got no plans at this time to bring out my coaching duck (I had in earlier posts mentioned that we could hire a duck to coach a better game than Flanigan and Dickey). Since we won last Saturday, the duck awaits...but I will only bring it out if I think it is warranted. So, poke fun all you want...but I still support the Mean Green because I love North Texas and always will.

Beat the holy crap outa Louisiana Tech. They are a really bad team, so this could go into 3 overtimes with the Mean Green finally winning 3-0. Only kidding, of course. We will probably have a breakout game on offense, with Cobbs and Thomas putting up big time numbers and Meager throwing for 3 TDs.

      "Where Are The Fans?"

      Haven’t seen this mentioned, but once again…… We started the season out pretty well. Got some local and national attention, to the point we were a trendy pick. “Tech better watch out!” Reece Davis on ESPN Game Day picked us as his “superdog”. We were starting to turn a corner regarding perception. And not only do we get beat, we got absolutely destroyed on national TV. Outclassed, out coached, out played and embarrassed. We were taking a few steps forward only to get hit in the face ONCE AGAIN and get launched back to what many think is our rightful place. How many people paying attention to our game vs TTech didn’t even bother to look at the schedule to see our next games much less make plans to show up. This probably happened about halfway through the 2nd quarter of that game. We are in a situation where we have no room for error. When you’re in this situation, no amount of marketing can overcome getting embarrassed like we were in Lubbock. We had our chance. Blew it.

      Yes, please. Why do we always relegate UNT to thinking we just have to go after someone else’s failure? We need to find a Lance Leipold, in my opinion. Find a proven winner at a lower level.
