To respond to the highlighted in red part: What happened was we lost T. J. Raymond to grades and some of you had compared him to Booger Kennedy. We still don't have Isaac Thomas (another DL) operating full force since his near heat stroke this summer (and some of you said he would be a solid "stopper" which we don't have as of yet) AND 8 ouf of 11 on the Mean Green "D" are all new starters.

Offensively? That is the $60,000 question, but lets wait and see because in 2001 we were 0 & 5 at this juncture and we had a team that finally meshed and became our first bowl team since 1959 and the Abner Hayenes-led Mean Green team who went to the Sun Bowl.

Undoubtedly, many of our younger fans/alums are of the the micro-wave generation, but right now we are just going to be forced to turn on the oven, put it on low heat and just take time to see this thing cook and develop in Mean Green Country.

Excuses are like rear ends-- everybody's got one. You don't have to be a younger fan to realize that there are some SEVERE problems with this football program that if not addressed immediately threaten its very existance. IMHO we are in the most precarious position since the return to D-1A. Right now we are a mid range 1-AA masquerading as D-1 as is the rest of the SBC. You "just build it" boys go on with your fantasies, I for one want to see action taken to right this ship not now but yesterday. Apathy has always been a failing program's best friend and it's beginning to again rear its ugly head once more at NT. I don't want to wait for LSU to ring up a triple digit margin this year or UT match its 0-92 in one game not two in ' 06 so that we are then embarrassed further by SMU the next week. DEMAND ANSWERS AND ACTION NOW__ I MEAN TODAY__ ASK RV, ASK BOBBY RAY, ASK LEE JACKSON-- we the loyal fans who have put $$$ and time into this program need answers as to its embarrassing, miserable failure in 2005!!!

Lost Scott Hall to graduation.

Daniel Meager went from riding the bench and learning the offense in safety to having to learn the offense in the summer and early fall and running it for real this season. Hard for a Freshman to be put in a leadership position like that.

Don't miss quote me on this. I am not knocking Meager. He is in a tough position. The only way for him to imporve is getting the reps in games.

Consider this year as a "rebuilding" year.

My question - after several games are we seeing improvement in the QB position? If so then lets ride it and maybe win one more game. If not, cut the strings and put in someone who will get better and better. Hawaii is breaking in a brand spanking new QB named Colt Brennan. Hawaii had 1 win going into the game against NMSU last night. Colt has gotten better and better each week and threw for 7, yes 7 touchdowns last night in a spanking of the Southern Aggies. That is what is concerning me from a distance is that I am not sure this QB is growing. An intuitive coach needs to step in and speak the truth or cut the strings.

I just found out we won. I am psyched because even after all of this ugliness we are still in the race!
