North Texas … Of all the ways North Texas might have wanted to have its 26-game conference winning streak ended, giving up five turnovers and failing to execute on play after play is not what it had in mind. QB Daniel Meager was lousy only completing nine of 26 passes, but he also was plagued by dropped passes; the receivers didn't help him out. The much-heralded running backs can't get going with no one respecting the passing game. All is not completely lost. Troy still has road trips to UL Monroe and Arkansas State to get past, so if UNT can regroup and not trip the rest of the Sun Belt way, another conference title is still possible.  …

Couldn't have recapped it better myself.

The better line was about the dropped passes. There were 4 major dropped passes that could have lead to a win in the second half instead it stopped a potential drive. The other big thing that has hurt all year is Chad Rose. I hate to say it but unless we want to only have 1 win the rest of the season he has to pick up his play. He is getting beat or missing assignments on almost every play. He has talent and potential, but he needs to realize it this year and give Meager some time to throw the damn ball otherwise the offense will stay at its current pace. When your center doesn't perform it hurts both the running and the passing game. Bring Brewster back for this season and MTSU would have been a bigger win, Troy would have been a win, we would have had a better showing against Tulsa and possibly a win as the momentum probably wouldn't have jumped to them the last part of the first half, and at K-State we would have performed better. This season is really resting on Chad Rose, or atleast this seasons offense. If he performs the running game and passing game get going, if he keeps at this level of play so will we.
