I assume most of you are Ranger fans, so does anybody else have a team they're pulling for?

Both of my teams (Houston and San Diego) made it, but the Podz are getting roughed up right now. Maybe they can pull off a valiant comeback as I speak, but I doubt it.

Huge Red Sox fan here. I don't like the way Boston matches up against Chicago though. We'll see.

Other than my boys, I'll be content as long as it's not NY.

What a game, thankfully the NLCS doesn't start until Wednesday, so the Astros will be able to get some rest before having to play game 1 biggrin.gif

no freakin joke dude. I guess it'll be Pettitte vs Carpenter, eh? I just hope the bullpen & Clemens get enough rest.

When's the season over? I'm tired of sharing screen time on SC ... especially on Sundays.

Shame on you! The fun's just beginning. biggrin.gif

Anyway, I'm rooting for the Windy City boys. The White Sox look very strong (or lucky) going into the ALCS and I think they're going to have their way with the Angels. Glad to see the Angels pull out the win over NY though. Anything to defeat the evil empire... smile.gif

I'm just glad the AL East is no longer active so that the media will have to cover the rest of the league for once.

I will pick the Angels (I know, they are already up 1-0 so that isn't crazy) to beat the White Sox, and the Astros to beat the Cardinals. I think the Cardinals are the better team, but the Ewing theory is in full effect (for you Sports Guy fans), with Ewing in this case being Bagwell.

Amen! Any team except the Red Sox and Yankees. I'll pull for the Astros since I now live down here, plus I can't stand LaRussa.

Boston like won, one title and everyone's sick of 'm. Oh well, they're still my boys. tongue.gif I'm pulling for Chicago to win it all(that way I can say we lost to the Champions). However I like the Cardinals to get the hardware.

I am pulling for OC, but not his team, because as Red Sox fan, I have no "other" favorite team. But OC was and will always be one of the 25. I also root against Clemens, the only hat he should wear when he gets elected to the hall is a UT hat with a money side on the back. I hate the Texas Con-Man.

would you like to explain the reasoning behind your hatred of Clemens? Oh that's right, Red Sox fans hate anybody that left their team.

It's not that I'm not a BoSox fan, I'm just tired of the BoSox fans. The media pulls for Boston and NY so hard it makes me sick. I would just like to see someone else win it.

Nothing makes me happier than a pissed off George Steinbrenner spending $200 million on a team that can't make it to the Series.

I still like the Rocket. Childhood heros are hard to dismiss, even when they become the enemy. As a kid he and Boggs were my boys, and I'll always have warm thoughts for them.

Even if both ended up winning titles as Yankees. dry.gif

I don't hate every player who left the Red Sox, just certain players. Pedro, was and still is my favorite player. Nomar will still be a favorite of mine, you will also never hear me say a bad word about any of the 25.

The reason that the media pulls so hard for Boston and ny is that they bring in the largest ratings. MLB can't be that thrilled that the four biggest "tv teams" (BOS, NY, ATL, CHI C) aren't still in the playoffs.

Hating a player is just part of the game, it makes sports more fun. Why do Maryland fans hate JJ Redick? Same thing, good player for the opposite team.

I will still be watching the playoffs, I am a baseball fan, and a Red Sox fan. But in the end I guess my loyatly lies to the laundry, not the player.

The White Sox get a blown call to go their way and pick up a huge victory to tie the ALCS. Of course I thought a call earlier went against Chicago at 2nd base where the runner(I believe Crede) was back but was called out.
