SMU's Last Bowl Win...
Agreed they are gone and will never return. As much as I would have loved to be competitive with them, I did see them beaten by us once in Texas Stadium and three times in Denton. The present system suits them just fine as they have always thrown their wealthy alumni’s money at any problem that arose. I have even heard that Clark Hunt and Jerry Jones each contribute $ 1 million a year to their program. That is still no excuse for our pathetic student turnout and lack of support from the City of Denton. Since they don’t support their high school teams why would you expect them to support their principal college even though it is the biggest employer in town.- 2
