I actually spoke to two persons today, non graduates of UNT (one a UCLA grad), who said they were thinking about attending the Troy game next week. Neither attended the Tulsa game. The fact that they are considering going gave me some hope on the attendance front. Nevertheless, we will not see anything near Tulsa type numbers again this year.

I spoke with an SMU letterman who was criticising Bennet. He is upset that Bennet had his contract extended thru 2008. Apparently, they have had a kick blocked each game this year. As he said, that is purely a coaching problem. I commented that I had attended the Baylor-SMU game and the attendance was 60% Baylor fans, he said the same was true for the TCU game with about 60% Hornfrog fans. By my observation we had more fans at the Tulsa game than SMU had at their game with Baylor.

We really had the opportunity to develop a decent fan following, I just hope that we havent squandered it with these two blowouts.
