He is 5 for 14, but Muzzy has dropped 3, and Mitchell has dropped 1.

That would 9-14 and I would be VERY happy with that.

I heard George say that a couple of the drops were high, but VERY catchable.

I also like the fact that Meager seems to be making the decisions to run when he has to, or throw it away if it is not there.

The score is lopsided, but I do see some improvement. REMEMBER, this is a Big XII team.

The large majority of us knew this wasn't going to be our big year, but I will still stand by my prediction that in 2006...

Meagre should be 10-14 then. I am telling you guys, he will be the real deal. New QB's struggle at every level the first time they get there.

When he puts it all together, as he is beginning to do regardless of what some may be saying, we will destroy the Sunbelt, and have a chance in our bowl, then...

in 2006 we will DESTROY ALL!

This 2005 Mean Green football team are young, we lost some key players to grades this summer and some key players are still out with injuries. There is no one on this board who is happy with what we have seen the last 2 weeks.

We just need to act like fans who support our school, win--lose--or draw.

If we don't show for football games, we are ultimately only hurting ourselves and all of our long range dreams in Mean Green Country. Lets all enjoy this open week and be glad that most of us aren't 3-6 hours away from our own beds tonight because of this gal named Rita.

      That is actually a pretty fun idea. Both Wren and RV were more of a “sales” guy than Jared, who seems like an “operations” guy. That is fine, but you need to hire someone else to be that sales person who promotes the program and builds excitement for the program. Jared has made some homerun hires in basketball, but is it still a homerun if no one is there to see it?

      I’m not making excuses. I’m disgusted by it. It is a hell of a product and I can’t believe people aren’t showing up to see it. They are missing out. There are a lot of creative ideas you could try to fill that place up. I’ve been pretty pro-Jared since his hire, but this is a pretty embarrassing flaw and ultimately he is the one getting paid the most to make the athletic program succeed. And good attendance is part of that success.

      Yeah, it's been downright pathetic marketing. Jared should be questioned about this on a public forum, like X. It's not even a team thing anymore. This PROGRAM deserves 5k a night. It doesn't matter if they're playing Denton High. The program has earned my respect. I love everything they do, the pace they play, the players they're able to nab. We're basically running the double flex in basketball and it's working and has been working for almost a decade. As for your idea, I like it. Also, students and old folks love free stuff. Buy 5K worth of $400 TV's and give one away every home game via drawing. And for the love of me, will SOMEONE get the greeks actually interested in UNT athletics?!?! Students like free tuition. A diehard would love to 'cup a coffee with coach' A diehard would like 'lunch with a player' The problem as I have observed over the years will always be the problem. To my knowledge, there is not a good % of UNT people working for UNT. Get UNT people back to UNT. And UNT might be the best version of itself. Until then, we are a revolving door for people trying to stepping stone us.

      Another little tidbit: Starting July 1, 2025, schools will be allowed to directly pay players, the infancy of collegiate revenue sharing. Therefore, Jared Mosley will have no barrier to hide behind about doing a piss poor job of funding UNT's NIL initiatives. However, given how little he has done or how no facilities have been built, etc, I don't expect much. Truly, I expect nothing more than what we are and have been doing. Someone stated, sort of conspiracy based, that something deep in its core must be/has to be holding UNT back from being what UNT can be. Forgot who sort of threw that out there, but maybe that guy was onto something. Needless to say, we suck. Our fans suck. Our administration sucks. Our school, gulp, sucks. The last 7 seasons (not including this probable 20+ win season) have seen us go 154-80. NIT and CBI trophies. NCAA win. Conf reg season champs. Conf Tourney Champs. etc. And we are out here still farting around in our athletic department getting sub 3k attendances for home conference games. It's laughable at this point. We have fans still saying wE aRe NoT a BaSkEtBaLl sChOoL because they so badly want to see UNT football not live in infinite suckitude as it inevitably will. Back on topic... Eric Morris aint it. Nobody can convince me he is better than Seth Littrell.
