I'd say 6-7 times out of ten...but not 10 of 10. I think we're clearly the better program, but that we and our league is nearer to a top Horizon League team than a top Big 12 program.
In the post-NIL, post-portal world, the HOF is an anachronism, probably more for football and basketball, but spreading to other (all) sports. It used to mean something....being recognized well beyond your playing years for your accomplishments and representing the university, revisiting campus and reliving a bit of your youth with your family and children, but I don't think the current generation of college athletes care about that any more. Now that covid years are behind us, I would place an additional requirement of playing a minimum of 3 out of 4 years and eligibility at UNT with the last year being the final year of eligibility. If you play 3 years and transfer for your senior or last year, that's fine, you've made a decision that's right for you, but you do so forfeiting an opportunity to be inducted into the UNT HOF.
