Stupid excuse, any excuse will do. I am putting new tires on my van and filling the gas tank, but going to watch the Mean Green this weekend...forget it. I would have for sure, and I love The University of North Texas, but losing 54-2 to Tulsa in our home opener....how awful. I've had people all this week come up to me and laugh about our football team. I will be at the Troy game, and all the rest of the home games, but I will not drive a long distance to watch a team coached by Darrell Dickey and Ramon Flanigan. Period. Call me a sore loser, whatever you want. I love the gameday tailgating. Great fun. Great people. But a football team so out-coached and ill-prepared for our home opener. No exuse for that whatsoever.

I am not a naysayer, just disgusted with our coaching. I'm am sure Rick V is pretty ticke off, too. Maybe not...but I'll bet he's had a word or two with Coach Dickey.

Coaches should able to cut down on those stupid penalities.... and probably could make better game decisions. This is a part of coaching as well.... besides recruiting, public relations, teaching, drawing up plays, motivating, evaluating players, etc. It is tough to find someone that is good at all of the above.
