Oh, well...I stopped by Athletics and said I was taking the Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of gameday off to volunteer to help in any way helping get the word out about our Nationally Televised game on ESPN2 vs the Troy Trojans.

I actually think we will be much improved this week. Certainly, getting pounded by Tulsa was just plain awful. Talk about momentum suicide, however in 1975 we lost at Oklahoma State 61-7. That same season, we would upset Tennessee 21-14 and rout the Houston Cougars 28-0. So, while our first home game was a dud, the gameday experience was fantastic and tons of fun. It was great seeing everybody. I got there at 1pm and I'll be there all day, October 4th, so if I can help with any tailgating, let me know. I'll bring drinks for sure.

I understand our Green Brigade is going to Baton Rouge for the NT-LSU game. I plan to drive to that game, and hopefully not just to see the band.
