Was kind of sad how people were throwing them after Tulsa scored toward the end of the game.  I guess they figured they wouldn't have an opportunity to throw them otherwise. sad.gif

According to the 'wingettes' we are "not texas tech" and if we throw them we are "stupid". I plan on bringing 3 or 4 packages next time and have some fun.... biggrin.gif

Throw hard tacos filled with dog pooh at the, uh, wingettes! ph34r.gif Geez! For college students they sure look fat and out of shape. Probably was a blessing for them that they only had to do 2 push-ups tonight. ohmy.gif

PLUM, the wingettes are the girls that sit in the stands and dress just like their manwhores "wings" out on the field doing the pushups. If this offends anyone I apologize... but the wingettes are not representing this univerisity in a classy way. And for that matter niether am I... but hey this is a message board after a huge loss.

Yeah well everyone I was with used 1-2 on the safety and we were expecting to get to throw them some more. So towards the end we just threw them for the heck of it and the event staff chick got P.O.ED and asked for them. I Wish I couldve aimed the tortillas at the refs, needed to take my aggresion out on something.

A couple of the guy cheerleaders threw the tortillas back at the crowd... it looked like they were mad we did it in the first place.

Frustration was thick in our section of the Alumni Side, and I would think the rest of the Stadium also. I saw many toss some of their tortillas as they left the stands out of frustration also.

      blowing out a Q3 team should not matter that much, the predicted metrics had us winning by over 10 anyway. For a top 75 school to move up 10 spots at this point in the season usually takes something significant. Usually other schools need to drop down (Dayton did), also McNeese and has been looking good lately, that could also help.

      Yes, the local media was really hyping the Blizzard of the Century coming today. I could also tell by the hoarding going on and low stock on shelves at the grocery stores.

      I believe we have had more games without classes in session. If someone has the academic calendar handy for this year and last, I can work up the exact numbers. Knowing we would have more games played during the academic break (and the horrible slate of games the AD put together) is exactly why it was critical for the AD to work extra hard getting the surrounding community to the games. I live too far away to know if they've done anything, but based on the results, I don't know if they have...certainly nothing that's moved the needle. It's like they just take time off when students aren't around. We need the so-called t-shirt fans from in and around Denton. What has the AD done to generate excitement and stimulate demand for the program? Whatever it is, it's been a complete failure IMHO. We have a team and program on the rise. It's WINNING games on a regular basis. Based on the last few years, we had a lot of momentum going into this season and it's been squandered in epic fashion. I doubt they are doing anything and just running out the clock waiting for the students to return so they can continue to do nothing. Here's an idea...It seems Jared enjoys his court-side seat. How about running a "switch seats with the AD" promotion? Each half one lucky attendee is drawn and gets to sit court-side and Jared moves to the cheap seats. Who knows, maybe you only get a handful of extra tickets out of it, but we're moving in the wrong direction.
