All right FOXSports.comrades, let's take a look at some of the best games and individual performances from this week in those I-A conferences that are generally a little less BCS-friendly.

North Texas 14, Middle Tennessee State 7

In the long awaited reintroduction of the North Texas' two-headed monster rushing attack and a 25-game Sun Belt winning streak on the line, Eagles fans had to sweat out two and a half quarters of Middle Tennessee holding a 7-0 lead. Halfway through the third quarter, North Texas sophomore LB Maurice Holman took an interception 99 yards all the way to somebody's house in Murfreesboro, TN.

From there, the Mean Green never looked back, except to turn around and hand the ball off to running backs Patrick Cobbs and Jamario Thomas some more. Cobbs, the nation's leading rusher in 2003 had 28 carries for 103 yards and a score. Thomas, the nation's leading rusher in 2004 had 58 yards on 10 carries.

MTSU quarterback Clint Marks continued to demonstrate why he's one of the more accurate passers in the nation, completing 21 of 27 passes. Actually, Marks completed 24 of 27 passes, three of them just happened to be to North Texas players. The Blue Raiders had five turnovers as 20,806 fans showed up to Floyd Stadium for 2005's "MTSU Shoots Theirselves in the Feet Day." Blue Raider back Eugene Gross's feet were okay though, as he added 129 yards on the ground on 28 carries.
