I attended the North Texas MTSU game Saturday and here was my take on the game experience.

1. Sit on the press box side; you don't face the sun and the pre game and half time shows are much better there. I have sat on the press box side the last two NT @ MTSU games

2. The game was actually boring except for the 99 yd td int in the 3rd. Don't get me wrong, I am happy with the win and NT played well, but it was a little boring.

3. MTSU ran at will on North Texas until they reached the NT 30 yd line. It was weird, but NT seemed to be able to stop MTSU when they reached the 30 almost every time.

4. The Littljohn kid for MTSU disrupted a lot of plays. Because NT had to double team him, the LB behind him fed off of the double team and had a big night too.

5. North Texas Dbs did a good job protecting against MTSU's screen passes. But then again I don't think Clint Marks can throw the FB through a wet sheet of rice paper. I was slightly disappointed in North Texas defensive intensity. I guess I had grown accustomed to the hard hitting Mean Green of old. But hey, I should not complain, they only gave up 7 points! TJ Covington was talking a little trash to the MTSU sideline, but I think MTSU was dishing it out too. TJ did a nice job covering his assignments and he looked very focused.

Remark: NT gave up it's very first sack against MTSU Saturday.

Sacks (5 games): NT 16 MTSU 1
