Exactly. Sometimes games just go south, especially when the QB play is bad as was the case for both Indiana and SMU (though the D-lines of ND and Penn St. had something to do with their bad play). -

Morris Announces Defensive Staff Hires
From what I've gathered in other threads, the "4th" is a Jack linebacker (DE/linebacker hybrid). I've been contesting it's not a true 4 man front but have been ridiculed by some. From what it seems, the "4-2" our new DC runs is just a 3-3 with a bigger Jack LB and we'll call it a 4 man front. At the end of the day, we'll again be undersized with no true 4 man line and outnumbered with only 6 instead of a front 7. Pretty great.- 3

I guess Tennessee didn't deserve to be in the tournament either. Maybe the SEC was only top heavy with Georgia and Texas. I'm obviously being facetious. What I said earlier is true...you can't give too many hot takes or give reasonable judgements about teams being deserving or not because of one game. Sometimes blowouts happen in big games even when teams are well matched on paper.- 1
