Interesting - Corpus Christi placed on standby

Just found out that Corpus Christi has been placed on standby. Many local government employees are on 24 hour call and are not to leave the city over Labor Day weekend.

Convention Center, other area locations to be used? Who knows at this point.

We just got an email from our Deputy Chief of Operations that there are currently 384 evacuees in Fort Worth, more expected to come.

On the local news in Wichita Falls they said that we could see up to 10,000 looking for shelter North of the Metroplex. Finding homes and living quarters for 400,000 will take a lot of work.

The city of Tyler is now hosting 3500 displaced persons. All hotels,motels are full.
