UNO and Tulane

What happens to those schools now that the semester is starting? Do other universities open their doors to their students, or are they out of luck until the schools open again.

I believe I heard that Tulane's football players are going to SMU, so maybe they are offering to the regular students as well.

Rice is doing their part for Tulane students.

"TSU will admit any student currently enrolled at the institutions affected by the hurricane for the fall 2005 semester. Application fees will be waived and a meeting for interested students will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, 10 a.m. to noon in room 243 of Bell Hall. The University will also hire displaced faculty as required. For more information call 713-313-1059 or 713-313-7071."

TSU is doing their part as well.

I will admit I am proud of Texas and especially Houston right now. We are coming through to help these people in their time of need.

Tulane football is practicing at Dallas Jesuit per Fox 4 news.

Tulane also has teams taken in at Georgia Tech and Memphis.

The outpouring of support has been phenomenal and hopefully these kids can get back into classes at the same time.

There is an article in the NT Daily about New Orleans area students enrolling at North Texas this semester.
