Don't have an official link yet, bet LSU is becoming ground zero for relief efforts and the reports from insiders are saying the game is canceled... not postponed.

Cons: Loss of money for Athletic budget. Our first game of season will be against MTSU which is a game that already had people worried.

Pros: Resources can be focused on relief efforts. One less loss on our record this year. Chance to go undefeated if we can upset Kansas State?

Well, if it's canceled, at least we get to spend extra time preparing for TMS and they may still have to prepare and take a beating this weekend before even starting to prepare for our game.

I agree. Move it to Shreveport. Give all net profits from concessions and parking to the Red Cross. Heck even charge a "Relief Surcharge" to get into the game. Regardless if you already bought tix, have season tix etc everyone pays a $10 "cover" 100% of which goes to relief efforts.

Fox Sports Radio is reporting that LSU Officials have said the game in NOT going to be cancelled...just heard it not 5 minutes ago at 2pm central time. They said the stadium did not have any damage and the game would go on as scheduled

Big Picture this is a good thing! Football is a sideline to what is important. Maybe UNT can put in a home game with a Div II down the line. Get ready for MUTS

Do yall have any idea how hard it would be to up and move a game in less that 5 days. As much as I hate to say it but lets think about the people in La. for a moment. I'm guessing a vast majority of LSU players are from La. They NEED this time off to get with thier families. Sure could they play in Baton Rouge if they had to, probably yes. But this isn't the national championship, this is the season opener. It would help raise spirits a little and also to bring things back to normal, but lets not press them to try and get the game.

It will basically be a decision as to whether to cancel completely or try to reschedule for some other time this season or later on.

The only open date we have is 11/19. LSU plays Ole Miss that day. LSU can't schedule a game for 12/03 as the SEC Championship is that day. I highly doubt we would schedule for 12/10.

My guess is its gone forever or we make LSU our 12th game for next year.
