"Texas Tech gets some Bottom 10 love in the coveted No. 5 spot. The Red Raiders' nonconference schedule is one gigantic pillow fight, featuring the softest down feathers possible."

This cracks me up! laugh.gif

I love how they just blanket all the "directional" Michigan teams biggrin.gif

TT should be ashamed of their non conference schedule.. the sorriest part is that Leach will probably let them run up 70+ on each team. Anyone remember the flea-flicker they called in the Houston Bowl 2003 when they were already up a bunch? Classy. I hope SHSU makes a game of it.

The number of teams from the SBC that almost made that list is a downer. Over half of the conference is either on the list or just about to be added.

There are a few WAC schools on that list (or almost on that list) as well (granted most are schools that left the sun belt. Poor us

I like how they mentioned the Louisiana schools ... UL-U-Pickem. It's funny (to me at least) cause they do it themselves.

Tech's schedule was not by design. As I understand it, they had to scramble to get the non-con teams for this year that they got...and the football staff is not happy about it, but they won't say so publicly. Apparently they were working with a couple of big name schools that ended up in the end refusing to do a home and home (one ended up backing out altogether), and if they wouldn't agree to come to Lubbock, then Tech quit the negotiations.
