11. Sun Belt

The one and only: Darrell Dickey, North Texas. The Mean Green still regularly is beaten down by BCS bullies. But Dickey owns the Sun Belt with 25 consecutive conference victories.

Rising star: Andy McCollum, Middle Tennessee. He has built a reputation as a solid teacher of the passing game. If the Blue Raiders win the Sun Belt, he will become an attractive candidate for a mid-major job.

Better get it done: Howard Schnellenberger, Florida Atlantic. It's not so much that Schnelly will be forced out, but how much he can take if this team nose-dives because of a lack of experience? He has been known to walk away from jobs.

What in hell? So if they FINALLY win with that stupid offense of his which has blown it to several 1-AA programs...at HOME, then he's instantly hireable for a larger program?

FAU didn't hire Schnellenberger with a timeline? They hired him to start a program from complete scratch and allowing him to call all the shots and take enough time as he needs to get them off the ground. Then out of the blue the guy launches them off the pad with results they could have only dreamed of 6 years ago.

Do they do any research at all over at the SN?

Oh the irony smile.gif If Mac wins with that passing game that has lost to us 4 years running, he gains rep.

But if Dickey wins with the running game...oh wait; he has been. Where's the mid-major quip in our direction?

w/e...say what they want because I want Dickey to stay.

I dont see any national passing leaders or recievers coming from this "solid teacher of the passing game". So tell me, who'd you take if you had to pick one: Andy Mac or Dan Hawkins (Boise St)?
